Child Immunisations

All children under five years of age are encouraged to have the recommended immunisations. Appointments for clinics, held weekly at each surgery, are sent out routinely. Please let us know if your child's appointment is inconvenient.

Family Planning and Contraception

Family Planning Advice and treatment is available by appointment with a Doctor or the Practice Nurse.

Chlamydia Test

If you are between the ages of 15 to 25 years of age you can have a Chlamydia test. This is done on a urine sample. The results are confidential and can be sent to your mobile phone. Ask the doctors, advanced nurse practitioners or nurses for the test. Chlamydia and the National Screening Programme.

Health Promotion

The practice is actively engage in health promotion. In particular we can arrange primary prevention e.g., advice on smoking, diet, exercise and immunisations; screening, e.g., blood pressure checks, cholesterol estimations, cervical smears etc.

Phlebotomist Service

Our Phlebotomists are fully qualified to carry out blood tests.

Practice Nursing Services

Our Practice Nurses are fully qualified to carry out immunisations for adults and children, blood tests, dressings and removal of sutures, ear syringing, smear tests, family planning advice, blood pressure, urine checks, health promotion including advice on diet and smoking.

Our advanced practice registered nurse is educated and trained to provide health promotion and maintenance through diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic conditions. She is a prescriber.

Stopping Smoking

The practice nurse offers smoking cessation advice and support.

Please ask for an appointment or to help us update your patient records with your smoking status, please take a couple of minutes to comlpete our smoking questionnaire.

Local pharmacies also provide a Stop Smoking service.
